Social Media Guidelines

Please abide by the guidelines listed below whenever participating on any social media relating to the Club.

  1. Be Kind and Courteous

We’re all in this together to create a welcoming environment. Treat everyone with respect. Healthy debates are natural, but kindness is required.

  1. No Hate Speech or Bullying

Make sure everyone feels safe. Bullying of any kind isn’t allowed, and degrading comments about things like race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, gender or identity will not be tolerated.

  1. No Promotions or Spam

Give more than you take to this community. Self-promotion, spam and irrelevant links aren’t allowed.

  1. Respect everyone’s privacy

Being part of this community requires mutual trust. Discussions make communities great, but may also be sensitive and private. What’s shared in the community should stay in the community.

  1. Offer critique on images only when requested

Some group members like to use the group to get feedback/critique on their images. Others prefer just to share what they have shot. Only offer critique if it has been asked for by the poster, and criticism must be constructive at all times.

If you have any concerns (for example, about the content of an image, or the behaviour of another member), in the first instance this should be raised by using the ‘report post to group admin’ function, or by contacting a member of the committee directly.
